Fillers are designed to dissolve over time, broken down by a natural bodily enzyme. At Dr Kathryn Aesthetics & Skincare we use hyaluronidase, a concentration of that enzyme, to vastly speed up the dissolution process.
Hyaluronidase works rapidly. You will be able to see its effects within a few hours, with the majority of filler gone within 24 hours.
You might experience some discomfort, which can be managed with ordinary, over-the-counter pain relief. Slight to moderate swelling is likely, which usually resolves within 2-3 days.
We advise waiting for two weeks to ensure all residual filler has been dissolved and there is no sign of swelling. If youโve come to us to correct work done elsewhere, we are more than happy to dissolve the filler and then deliver the beautiful, natural-looking results you were looking for in the first place.
